Archiving Policy

1. Introduction
The Unique Journal of Artificial Intelligence (UJAI) is committed to preserving the integrity and accessibility of scholarly content published in our journal. To ensure the longevity and continuous availability of our articles, the following archiving policy outlines the strategies and actions that will be taken to safeguard the content for long-term access.

2. Digital Archiving
All articles published in UJAI are archived in multiple digital repositories to ensure their preservation and public accessibility. We have partnered with trusted international digital archiving platforms, including:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): UJAI deposits all published articles in the LOCKSS system, ensuring that copies of each article are retained at multiple locations around the world.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): UJAI participates in the CLOCKSS initiative to provide a safe haven for scholarly content and ensure articles remain available even if the journal ceases to operate.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): We deposit all published content in the PKP PN to guarantee reliable access to our journal's content for future generations of researchers.

These archives are regularly updated to ensure that the most recent content is always available and that older content is maintained securely.

3. Backup and Redundancy
UJAI maintains regular backups of all published content in multiple secure locations, including cloud storage and physical servers. These backups are encrypted and stored off-site to ensure data recovery in case of any system failures or disasters.

4. Self-Archiving
Authors are encouraged to deposit copies of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other relevant platforms, in compliance with our open-access policy. A version of the article may be made available upon acceptance, in accordance with the journal's publication schedule, to maximize accessibility.

5. OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting)
UJAI makes use of OAI-PMH to provide metadata of all published content. This allows external repositories and other digital platforms to harvest metadata, ensuring widespread visibility and the ease of access to our content globally.

6. Long-term Access and Availability
UJAI guarantees that all published content will remain available indefinitely in all partner archives and repositories. This policy is aligned with our commitment to providing a long-term service to the global research community. We take all necessary actions to ensure content is accessible even in the event of the journal ceasing publication.

7. Compliance with Legal and Ethical Standards
All articles and data published in UJAI are in compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws. Authors must ensure that they hold the rights to their work or have received proper permissions for the use of third-party materials before submission. In the case of withdrawal or retraction of any article, UJAI ensures that the archival copies are updated to reflect the current status.

8. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy
In the event of the withdrawal or retraction of an article, we will update the archival systems to reflect the change. The retracted article will remain accessible with a note indicating its retraction status, as per our ethical standards.
